August Break 2012 – Summary
I’m feeling a little under the weather today, so I’m going to keep this brief…
Once again, I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in August Break. Not only did it “encourage” me to get out there with my new Canon D60 and 50mm prime lens, but it also helped me capture a lot of truly memorable moments.
It wasn’t all “puppies and rainbows” however. I found it very challenging to both compose “soulful” shots whilst chasing after a constantly-moving three-year-old, AND find the time to dedicate to editing and posting whatever I did manage to shoot. Not to mention keeping up with other participants!
But I learned a great deal about my new gear, about being a little more bold than usual, and about sometimes putting the camera down to savour a beautiful moment.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to look at my images/blog and comment this month, and I look forward to “seeing” what y’all are up to on Flickr. Have a great autumn everyone! =)
