August Break 2012 – Day 26, pt.A
After a discussion with the boys about how we need to take turns making everybody in the family happy, Saturday was declared “Mum’s Day”. Woo-hoo!
I decided to start the day with a pottery sale. I have a small collection of beloved items, and it grew that day with the addition of a new serving dish, a new mug, and that heart-shaped dish.
We then hit the highway once more…
… past even more prairie…
… out towards the mountains. Ahhhh…
My dear friend Kim was camping out there with her brood, and we went for a little visit.
The Monkeyboys kept themselves busy with a little exploring.
Whilst the adults enjoyed some G&Ts and the gorgeous weather.
What a view! (Heart Mountain)
More friends arrived…
… and while the baby napped, we headed down to the lake.
There was much rock throwing and water splashing.
(And ample photo taking…)
We headed back to camp to find even more friends arriving! Yay!
The kids played together (look, a “pup tent”) …
… and my husband played a fun game of peek-a-boo with the baby.
What a happy boy.
And a popular one, too. 😉
Before we knew it, it was time to head out.
One last group photo, and we were off.
We had planned to take a quick hot tub in Banff before heading to a bbq that night, but we kinda ran out of time… Ah, well. I guess there’s only so much awesome you can fit into one day. 😉
