August Break 2012 – Day 2
So. It’s wet and rainy, and the kids are (full moon?) crazy today. I thought I’d post some photos I took last night for today, and anything I might shoot today can get posted tomorrow, kinda staggering things. Make sense? Anyhow… We’ll start with dinner.
I went out for a wonderful sushi dinner with my friend Jasmine last night. And even though it was challenging to get a good shot of the food (because the 50mm gets you in SO close to it…)
… playing with the DOF was fun! The food was amazing – and gluten free! If you have gluten issues, as my friend does, you should check out Globefish in Marda Loop, Calgary. Yum! PLUS, our server was so… “sweet” was the word both Jasmine and I came up with.
This is Tanner. Who was kind enough to let me snap some shots of him as he was clearing our table.
And sweet enough to bring us some gluten-free spicy-sweet sauce earlier, because he thought we’d like it. =)
Then, as I was driving home, I noticed the sun setting over the river, so I pulled into Edworthy park and took some photos.
I am such a sucker for sunsets on water.
Then, it was home to the Monkeyboys, who were still up past bed-time, and playing in the tent.
Yeah. It was a good day. =)
So I tried editing RAW for the first time today, and it was mind-blowing how much you can do before you even “open” the photo! I still need to get a handle on fine-tuning images, but it’s a start. Okay. Time to go and feed the crazies. Have a great one!
