Round Two
Another batch of watercolours for today. It is certainly an addictive medium. These can also be seen in larger sizes on Flickr. 😉
Experimenting with using increasingly dark layers of colour, especially in the leaves. “Our lives are like islands in the sea, or like trees in the forest which co-mingle their roots in the darkness underground.” ~ William James
Trying one form of masking. “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive!” ~ H. Thurman
Playing with moving colour around a really, really wet page. The gifts of imperfection: “Courage, Compassion, Connection.” ~ Brene Brown
Trying solid ink over blended colours. “Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” ~ Rabindranath Tagore
Testing both the use of stickers as masks, and a spray bottle for coverage. “Necessity may very well be called the mother of invention, but calamity is the test of integrity.” ~ Samuel Richardson
And slowly, I think I’m getting *some*where. 😉 Have a great weekend, y’all!

These are wonderful Kate!
I love the bright cheerful colors.
Thanks, Lisa! Gotta do something to combat the cold, dreary winter. 😉
