October 2012 Gratitude Journal
With the arrival of “craft season”, I’m afraid I’ve let a few things slide… Like keeping up with my gratitude journal photos for instance. Don’t get me wrong, I still write in my journal nightly and have much to be thankful for! But carving out the time to go through hundreds of photos that are just for me and just for fun, well… yeah. It just hasn’t been happening. When I have had some “free” (haha) time, I have a backlog of theatre photos that get worked on, and the grat pix get neglected. So much so, that they’ve became an overwhelming and dreaded task rather than one I normally look forward to. Soooo… I decided to break it down. I set a goal of working on just one week at a time – first selecting them, then quick editing them, and finally schwooping them up in Pixlr. It took over a week of “baby steps” to get a whole month done, but October is finally finished and even pasted in my book. Yay! So, here are a few of my faves… better late than never. 😉
Some of the delicious harvest that we enjoyed and shared with friends.
Just one of the amazing moments from the Loose Moose 35th Reunion.
Monkeyboy Jr. eating tempura shrimp for the first time! (For a highly selective eater, because of his acid reflux, this was HUGE!!!)
Monkeyboy Junior Jr. loving his new big boy undies SO much, that he had to wear them immediately – and all at the same time. 😉
Monkeyboy Sr. was interviewed and got buried in Lego for a photo-op.
Getting a little lost in nature. Ahhhh.
So many wonderful cuddles from my cheeky little monkey lately.
I finally found matching PJs in both boys sizes!
Spent a little time down by the river, playing with mermaid shadows.
Went out with my friend Jasmin for her birthday. As we were walking along, I suddenly had the impulse to take a picture of her jumping. I asked. She complied without missing a beat. I love it.
Caught this moment hanging in the playground after school one day.
Found this from Monkeyboy Jr. after a date night. “Dear mom and dad. Please enjoy this recipe – the melti su(r)prise. Ca(u)tion may be hot.”
The first real snow can only mean one thing – sledding!
Games night! In which the three-year-old wins TWO games of Uno.
Fun at the school dance! Zero “sexy _____” costumes and good tunes!
Quiet moments before Monkeyboy Junior Jr. gets up. Yoga. Tea. Eats…
And naturally, the loud moments following Halloween. 😉
Yeah. I’m really glad I finally got around to it. It’s good to remember all the silly fun times during the crazy busy times. <3

Indeed so much to be grateful for.
Cannot believe how quickly the boys are growing!
xo.
Indeed. Sometimes I have to remind myself to stop rushing around and appreciate the pestering and need-for-cuddles-when-we’re-in-a-hurry moments… because they won’t last for much longer.
