August Break 2011 – Day 2
Went for a little solo drive in the country for “date night” – even though my husband is out of town, I still wanted to enjoy the babysitter we had booked. What a treat! This is one of my favourite shots of the night… a rustic barn with a Swainson’s Hawk perched atop of it (s/he was playing a territorial game of tag with another hawk while I was shooting. It. Was. AWESOME!)
I Polaroid-ized the original image online at Polaroin using the first “advanced option” – the blue filter, with added vignetting and a frame.
But. You could also choose a red filter and no vignetting…
Or a green filter, no vignetting, and no frame (I also digitally lightened this image before loading to see if there was much difference)…
Sigh. I think I’m in LOOOVE!!! Hurrah for online Polaroid-izing!!! Yes, the processing took some time, but it was SOOOO worth it! Dontcha think? =)

Each photo looks so different! I love the colour of the sky in the last one.
Yeah, isn’t it great??? Different filters for different moods. Ahh… =)
I have never heard of Polaroin before, I love the first version using the blue filter. Great shot!
Thanks! Me too. 😉
What a wonderful way to treat yourself, and what a beautiful photograph this is! Love Polaroin too!
Makes me not as heartbroken about the whole Polaroid going under thing… Not completely, but still. 😉
Oh I love taking drives by myself! . . shame I haven’t had much time to lately. your image is wonderful!. . . I wish I had a polaroid camera! there is just something about the images that makes them so. . . (can’t think of the word. . you know what I mean!)
Thing is, I have a Polaroid camera but no film – hence the online conversion makes a fair substitute. =)
in which case, I am ridiculouslyh jealous of you owning a polaroid camera! you should definitely hunt down some film!
It’s on my list of things to do. Sadly, it is a veryveryvery long list. 😉
